Le village of Bormes, unsurprisingly, has inspired more than one artist : Of Jean-Charles Cazinor a Henri-Edmond Cross the 19th century, there are still many creators living there today. You can visit them in their workshops. and discover their works throughout the year. But the artists are not limited to the village district, there are some throughout the municipality. They offer a wide variety of subjects, materials, supports… Let yourself be surprised by their creativity !

Discovering the creators in the village
More than tenartists are present in the village. Iconic figures like Nathalie Papet, pope of hat. More recent ones like Philippe Cavatore, owner of the restaurant Lou Portaou became an inventor-sculptor in the shelter of his Cubert des Poètes. The district is full of personalities and worlds to discover. Several painters, with very different visions and styles, offer a range of great variety. Mireille Payre with its Provencal landscapes full of light… You will be able to meet Stéphane Marchioni, glass craftsman from Rue Rompi Cuou which shapes glass pieces, from jewelry to more imposing sculptures. Then on Place du Bazar, Philip Gabriel Villard presents his works inspired by the Massif des Maures, representing animals and other shapes created from branches found in the maquis.

Throughout the year, the Bormes Museum of History and Art as well as the Artists' House offer exhibitions temporary performances by artists from here and elsewhere. Find the program at the Tourist Office.
