Among the many hikes possible in the heart of our town, there are several which are quite accessible (in French only) at families. Indeed, even with children At a young age you will be able to enjoy the great diversity of discoveries that Bormes has to offer. In all seasons, many of our paths are ideal for family walks. By the sea, in the forest, in the shade or in the sun, offer your children children invigorating memories in the great outdoors!
Family hikes near the village
In the heart or near the district of medieval village of Bormes, there are several discovery routes to take in family. First, the visit to the village itself is exceptional. It is a pleasant walk, among the old stones and exotic plants (in all seasons!). Allow 1h30 to 2h of walking among the picturesque alleys. And if you are “with a stroller”, don’t worry! There is a route that goes through the village avoiding the stairs. At thethe Tourist Office, we offer a game to go to the heart of the village, in search of the sacred mimosa. Don't hesitate to come and see us so we can put you on the right track!
From the village, another walk gives you the opportunity to discover a completely different environment. The hike to Our Lady of Constance takes you right into the Massif des Maures, in the heart of nature. It will take 2 hours and remember to take water. It is a hike of easy level, With a little bit of difference in level. The rewards? A pretty chapel from the 12th century, but above all the observatory offering a 380 degree view on Bormes and its surroundings.
Finally, going back down from the village towards La Londe, at the exit of Bormes, you will find the promenade of Trapan Lake. It goes around the lake and covers about 6 kilometers, with very beautiful panoramas on the sea. The route is concreted and therefore accessible to strollers.
Family hikes by the sea
Over the coastal path, You can hike on several portions which are quite feasible with children. On the Cabasson-La Londe section, there are many beaches which follow one another. It is obviously possible to take a round trip which will last less time, between the beach of Cabasson and that of the Mother God for example. This part of the path is savage and sporty, but very pleasant with children from 10 years old. If your children are younger, or even still in stroller, you can also enjoy a ride in sea side. Between the district of the Faviere and the neighboring municipality of Lavandou. A section of the trail is concreted and very easy. It crosses the pine forest of La Favière then runs along the small Gouron beach and the large beach of Lavandou. It takes about 1h30 round trip.
