The museum of Bormes the Mimosas (MHAB) has had a makeover in 2022, but not only its interior, its exhibitions also. The augmented reality was born for the first time permanently in a museum in France! It is thanks to her that you will discover the 2400 years of history of Bormes. An eimmersive experience waiting for you. Using a tablet HistoPad, you will travel through the ages, from -50 BC to today.

Bormes les Mimosas Museum of History and Art

A temporary exhibition is also available on the lower floors of the museum. Here you will discover unpublished collections paying homage to the artistic, cultural and social history of Bormes les Mimosas. And this, with renowned artists such as Emmanuel Charles Benezit, Charles Cazin, Henri-Edmond Cross or even Jean Arena. The two separate funds of the MHAB: the Fine Arts collection and collection of ethnographic and archaeological objects, will take you through the centuries, from antiquity to the contemporary era. The MHAB is also a unique building on 5 floors with a peaceful terrace on the ground floor and a rooftop with a breathtaking view of Bormes.

Villa Théo

Villa Théo, old house du neo-impressionist painter Théo Van Rysselberghe, is located at LavandouIn 2007, the municipality bought the building to transform it into a art center. It welcomes exhibitions all year.

Villa Noailles

La Villa Noailles is a iconic building located in the city of Hyères. Built in the 1920s by the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens, the villa is a remarkable example ofmodern architecture. The villa was designed for Charles and Marie-Laure de NoaillesTwo French patrons who supported many artists and writers of the time. The villa was a meeting place for most influential figures in the world of art and culture in years 1920 and 1930. Villa Noailles is considered one of the first examples of modern architecture in France. It presents typical features of the time, in particular clean lines, and open spaces,

of flat roofs and materials such as Concrete, and metal. The villa has been completely restored in 2003 and is now open to the public as contemporary art center. Visitors can learn about the history of the villa and its owners, as well as the contemporary art exhibitions which are presented there throughout the year. In addition to art exhibitions, the villa also hosts events such as concerts, film screenings and fashion shows. In short, the Villa Noailles is a real architectural and cultural jewel of the region, offering a unique insight into history, just a few minutes from Bormes les Mimosas.

Le Bank Museum à Hyères, also known as Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions, is located in the former annex of the Bank of France. The museum is dedicated to the daily life and traditions of the Provence region. Here are some of the interesting objects you can see there: traditional costumes, craft tools, Antique furniture… The garden of more than 1100m² rehabilitated in the continuity of the building harmonizes with its architecture. Formerly French garden, it now offers a Mediterranean character in a exceptional pleasant setting.
