Organized by the association "Les k-lus" in partnership with the town of Bormes les Mimosas, a weekend dedicated to "bolides" and a soapbox race in the heart of the village
What are soapboxes?
A soapbox is a motorless vehicle that moves by the force of gravity alone.
It is made of wood and/or metal, wheels, a steering wheel and brakes.
Soapboxes can be built for the simple pleasure of descending small slopes, but they can also be built for real sporting competitions.
How does the race go?
40 soapboxes and as many teams for a colorful show.
Who are the K-lus?
The Soapbox K-lus is an association specializing in soapbox racing.
The K-lus' story begins following their participation in a soapbox race organized by Redbull and broadcast on the L'Équipe channel in 2022.
PROGRAM :
Saturday 3 May 2025
Place Saint François from 14 p.m. to 18 p.m.
– Soapbox exhibition (from Place Gambetta to Place Saint François)
– Technical inspection of the cash registers
– Refreshment bar
– Sweet snacking catering area only
– 18:30 p.m.: free concert by the group “Paradigme”
Esplanade Saint François continuously
From 14 p.m. to 19 p.m.: children's activities: the meeting place for drivers and mechanics
– Giant play area on the theme of racing, speed and cars
– Little mechanics workshop: making vehicles, each one crazier than the last: cardboard car, dragster, tractor, etc.
– XXL circuit with loop: use the pitch'nette technique to propel your car
– Photobooth “Garage douce France”
From 14 p.m. to 18 p.m.: MHAB – Cultivating the art of motorsport!
Find games and fun activities at the MHAB stand to discover the history of motor racing in Bormes, then design your own hill climb poster.
In front of the Saint Francis chapel continuously
– From 14 p.m. to 19 p.m.: Little Racing Circuit: in a baghera, ezyroller or trotter, come and challenge yourself on a circuit reserved for children
– From 14 p.m. to 18 p.m.: “Kids cars lumicars” embark on an adventure aboard lumi cars, to enjoy a fun and safe driving experience.

-From 11:30 a.m. to 13 p.m. break and activities
-13 p.m. departure for the 2nd round
-15 p.m. short break to put the soap boxes back together
-15:30 p.m. departure for the 3rd round
-End of race between 17 p.m.
-17:30 p.m. awards ceremony
Please note that on Sunday, May 4, the village will be completely inaccessible to vehicles.
