At the heart of Marseille's vibrant gypsy jazz scene, Basilic Swing revisits the great standards of French song during a concert.
Born under the virtuoso fingers of guitarist Django Reinhardt, gypsy jazz—or French jazz—draws its essence from the rich musical tradition of the itinerant peoples of Eastern Europe. True transmitters of sounds, the gypsies have always known how to assimilate and reinvent the music they encounter along the way, a process sometimes called “manouchization.”

This year, with the same approach, Basilic Swing invites you on a musical journey where gypsy jazz blends with French song, for an evening full of swing and emotion.
