Manu Lanvin & The Devil Blues – Guest Gérard Lanvin
With seven albums to his credit, including four with his power trio, the Devil Blues, Manu has performed more than 2012 concerts since 600, including prestigious venues in Europe and the United States (L'Olympia, L'Apollo Theater, Le Montreux Jazz Festival, Jazz à Juan, Solidays, Musilac, Cognac Blues Passion, etc.). Acclaimed by an ever-growing audience at the "Devil's" concerts, and praised by his peers, such as Quincy Jones, who regularly invites him to perform at the Jazz Foundation of America galas, or Johnny Hallyday, for whom he has opened many times, Manu Lanvin undoubtedly embodies the revival of the genre and has perfected explosive rock blues over the years.
A true face of French cinema, Gérard Lanvin reveals to us today a talent little known to his audience: writing. March 2020, an unprecedented context, the starting point of a new opportunity for the man who has always written. Pushed and encouraged by his son, the bluesman Manu Lanvin, to put his writings into song, Gérard adapts and reworks his notebooks, while Manu composes and arranges the music. The father-son duo released a committed album in May 2021, with powerful lyrics set to a blues rock backdrop. On tour throughout France.
