Musée de Bormes – 2400 ans d'art et d'histoire en réalité augmentée

At the MHAB-Museum of History and Art in Bormes les Mimosas, augmented reality is used to serve History. For the first time, a museum in France is offering a permanent exhibition entirely designed around its collections and augmented reality.
Guarantor of an art collection dating from the end of the 2400th century to today and a local historical fund, the Bormes museum offers an immersive journey to the heart of the city's XNUMX years of history.

Using the HistoPad tablet, travel through the ages and discover the reconstructions with striking realism. The Histopad, a touchscreen tablet, is given to each visitor upon entry to browse the permanent exhibition. Each station, a true window on a period or event, is the result of a collaboration between the museum teams, the Histovery company and specialists in the different periods covered.

Thanks to the treasure hunt integrated into the route, have fun and travel with your family from the 1st century BC to the present day. In addition to the permanent route, also enjoy temporary exhibitions on art and heritage.

The MHAB is open all year round:

– WINTER OPENING HOURS (from October 1 to April 30): Wednesday to Sunday from 11 a.m. to 18 p.m. – School holidays in all zones: Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 18 p.m.

– SUMMER HOURS (from May 1 to September 30): Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 19 p.m.

– The museum is open on public holidays, even those falling on a Monday or Tuesday (except 01/01, 01/05 and 25/12).

Animals are not allowed in the museum.

Reduced rate beneficiaries: Job seekers, Education Pass holders, beneficiaries of minimum social benefits, students under 26, ICOM members, tour guides, people with disabilities and their companions.

Under 7 years old: No tablets distributed.
