Visite guidée du Parc Gonzalez
Created in 2003, the walls, paths, paving stones and rocks are made of local stone and give it an additional unity that completely connects it to the village.
To preserve this natural space and make it cultivable, 1000 m3 of topsoil were brought in, as well as blocks of local stone (Gneiss de Bormes) placed on terraces, rockfill, walls and cyclopean paving. Dry stone walls were added to the existing low walls, imitating their rusticity. In order to harmonize the mineral, the sand for the paths was recovered from the bed of our river (Le Batailler). Watering is automated using micro-irrigation (drip), which saves and optimizes the quantities of water according to the needs of the plants. The location of this park being hot, a natural and local mulch made from crushed cork oak bark covers the entire surface of the park in order to limit water evaporation, the emergence of weeds, and soil compaction.
Meeting point: 1 Place Gambetta, in front of the village tourist office.
