Or, find Louis de Funes in another atmosphere Gendarmerie Museum and cinema. The visit of the 17th century Citadel at panorama breathtaking, its maritime history museum are also unmissable. In June, July and August, take a boat trip to Saint-Tropez with the Compagnie des Stars of the Golden Isles from the Port of Lavandou

It is possible to get there by road. Either by taking the D98 which crosses the forest inland, or by the D559 which runs along the seaside. Normally, without traffic jams, it takes you 40-50 minutes. You can also get there by bus thanks to the ZOU! network which passes by Bormes and Lavandou along the coast to Saint Tropez. There is also the possibility of ferries which provide connections between Le Lavandou and Saint-Tropez during the summer period.

Essential step of the Mimosa Road with its Corso du Mimosa of February, Sainte-Maxime brings together many elements that smell of Provence! Its coastal location, between littoral and chain of hills, gives it a location suitable for long beaches extents and to panoramas incredible on the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and its surroundings. Trails of hikes crisscross these hills, discovering the scents of the scrubland, while having a breathtaking view of the sea. Located in the continuity of Saint-Tropez on the edge of the Gulf, it takes you around 50 minutes – 1 hour by car to get there from Bormes les Mimosas, in normal traffic conditions.

Grimaud the charming

Equipped with a part medieval village inland but also a port constituting one of the most famous lakeside cities in the world, this town is very original. You can stroll through its alleys lined with old stones and sumptuous flowers very colorful or discover its castle in ruins, a lookout point from another era. Historical guided tours are offered to discover the rich historical patrimony of this old man village of Provence. And while strolling along the coastal part, marvel at the heart of the canals of the little Venice of Provence! 

Historically a land of olives, you will also have to taste theolive oil produced on site. And if you like the nature and walking, you will find many paths connecting the different districts, but also walks the heart of Maure Massifs.

Gassin the elegant

Perched in the middle of the Saint-Tropez peninsula, Gassin is labeled among “The Most Beautiful Villages of France". There is a small village there. Medieval, full of old stones and history. Its spectacular view of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez and its surroundings is a must-see in the area. Here too, if you like walking and nature, Gassin is full of trails and paths crisscrossing the village and the Maures Massif. Between mountains and coastline, history and heritage, the town of Gassin is a little gem.
