All year round, firefighters and agents of theNFB crisscross the massive by land and by air. They monitor and do everything possible to enforce the rules, for the good of all. For example, when the risk of fire is at its maximum, the Var prefecture puts a protocol in place. Indeed, from July 15 to September 15, a map of massive provides daily information on the state of the premises regarding fire risks. It regularly happens in August that access to the massifs is closed for safety reasons.
