The collection is of great scientific and aesthetic richness, and its educational interest is confirmed by the numerous visits of schoolchildren and academics. Entomologists from all over the world have expressed their enthusiasm for the Butterfly House, which sees its attendance by the general public increase year after year.
THE MUSEUM IS MADE UP OF 6 SPACES:
– The reception-shop.
– The exotic butterfly room where several compositions in shimmering colors are presented.
– The garden which houses, in a bucolic setting, various works.
– The staircase where more than thirty photographs are presented, many of which were taken by the famous photographer Jacques-Henri Lartigue, Dany’s father.
– The French butterfly room which contains most of the museum’s entomological collection.
– The studio where Dany Lartigue created his butterfly compositions and where he painted an important series of paintings. The museum now presents a selection of his most remarkable paintings.
