The Musée des Arts Asiatiques houses collections of Asian art presented according to geographical origin. Most of the museum's pieces come from bequests to the city of Toulon.
Housed in the Villa Jules Verne, once occupied by Jules Verne's son and grandson, the museum presents collections acquired in China, Japan, Tibet, Mongolia and India by French collectors, often Toulon sailors, and bequeathed to the City of Toulon. Temporary exhibitions are also presented on the first floor.
