Arrive in the wild and mysterious bay of Port-Man, the starting point for our non-stop, commented, electric ride along the north face of the island. Enjoy a different way of sailing: no noise, no smell, no CO₂ emissions…
On this 2-hour guided tour, you’ll discover the heart of the National Park in the silence and respect for this unspoilt site that only the O₂ can offer. The proximity of the coastline will make you appreciate the historical heritage as well as the riches in store for you from the flora and fauna of Port-Cros’ natural heritage.
An immersion in the history of the Golden Isles that begins with the legend of Prince Olbianus and his four daughters… The era of piracy and its famous figures. Then comes the military period, with the establishment of forts, followed by the 20th century, private owners and, in particular, the Henry family, who made Port-Cros the island of writers, and led to the creation of the Port-Cros National Park in 1963. We’ll talk about the Park’s missions and environmental preservation measures.

Departing from Bormes-les-Mimosas, the O₂ takes its passengers to discover the island of Port-Cros. With a capacity of 50 passengers, this hybrid boat offers smooth, noise-free navigation with no CO₂ emissions. The O₂ approaches the eastern part of the island, through the wild bay of Port-Man. Then, silently in turquoise waters, it skirts its rugged, wild contours. During the cruise, the captain comments on the landscapes once inhabited by the Romans, then by pirates who made it their hideout. Finally, he recounts the various episodes that led to the acquisition of the island by the State and the creation of the National Park.
Without disturbing the exceptional environment, the O₂ allows us to approach the history and natural features of Port-Cros from the sea.
