As you stroll through the different neighborhoods of Bormes, you’ll notice charming artisanal shops offering a great variety of items. From vacation souvenirs to works of art, and even gourmet discoveries, the streets of Bormes are scattered with shops and artisan studios full of originality. While the shops in Favière tend to be more focused on beach items, those in the village are more geared towards home decor, tableware, and artist studios.
Beach fashion at la Favière
In the Favière district, shops are mainly open during the summer season and can be found on the two main avenues: Boulevard du Front de Mer and Boulevard de la Plage. You’ll find establishments specializing in beach items such as inflatable floats, swimsuits, or espadrilles, but also brand name or seasonal clothing. You can also discover costume jewelry and vacation souvenirs. At the end of each season, in early September, the merchants organize a big clearance sale, perfect for finding great deals!
Charm and artistic creations in the village
In the village, you’ll find a string of charming artisan shops along Rue Carnot and other adjacent streets, in the midst of the Provençal medieval atmosphere. Many shops offer Provençal souvenirs, gourmet discoveries, the famous Bormes soap, as well as home decor boutiques. But Bormes is also known for its numerous artisans. You can visit several painters, a glassblower, a hat maker, potters, and sculptors… Their creations are often filled with sunshine, inspired by the wonderful landscapes that surround them.
Gastronomy at the Pin de Bormes
If you head down to Pin de Bormes, just below the village, in addition to several bars and restaurants, you’ll find a bakery, a supermarket, as well as a delicatessen and wine cellar. Then, as you leave Pin de Bormes and head towards Favière, next to a gas station, you’ll find a rotisserie, a bakery, and two pizza trucks.
